As a Senior Software Engineer at Regulatory Genome, Luke implements and deploys the services that work together to process regulatory documents at scale. He collaborates on the product side to tease out system requirements, and works closely with data scientists, deploying continually-improving machine learning models to production.
After completing his degree in Music Systems Engineering, Luke started his career in software writing C++ for an audio plug-in manufacturer. A few years later he became interested in Clojure, a functional programming language, and joined a startup in London. He’s worked in startups ever since, making contributions in areas as diverse as music, education and banking. More recently, he led the software team at an EdTech startup through to successful acquisition.
He is fascinated by the impact of technology on society: how it makes new things possible, but often with unintended consequences; and exploring ways of using technology as a force for good.
Outside of work he enjoys running, swimming and exploring the local countryside.
