RegGenome and finspector Announce Strategic Partnership to Accelerate AI Innovation in Financial Promotions Compliance

Cambridge, UK – 4 November 2025

RegGenome, a University of Cambridge commercial spin-out specialising in structured regulatory data, and finspector, an emerging leader in AI-powered compliance for financial promotions, are pleased to announce a strategic partnership aimed at transforming how regulated firms interpret, monitor, and implement financial promotions compliance globally.

The collaboration will combine RegGenome’s structured, source-linked regulatory data with finspector’s proprietary financial promotions AI architecture—creating a powerful foundation for the next generation of explainable, auditable, and scalable compliance automation.

A Shared Mission: Making Regulation Machine-Readable and Actionable

Financial promotions compliance remains one of the most complex and high-risk areas for financial services firms. Regulators such as the FCA, SEC, ESMA, and DFSA impose increasingly detailed disclosure, conduct, and fairness obligations, yet compliance teams still rely on manual review processes, spreadsheets, and subjective human interpretation.

The partnership between RegGenome and finspector directly addresses this challenge. By mapping global regulatory obligations into structured, machine-readable data, and transforming those data points into executable “AI checks,” the two organisations will enable firms to:

  • Automatically detect and explain potential rule breaches across text, image, video, and social media content.
  • Link AI-driven compliance output back to its regulatory source—ensuring full explainability and auditability.
  • Customise compliance logic to reflect jurisdictional rules (e.g., FCA COBS 4, Consumer Duty, FINRA 2210, ESMA UCITS) and firm-specific policies.
  • Build scalable, AI-native compliance processes aligned with upcoming AI Act and Consumer Duty governance requirements.

Statement from finspector

“RegGenome’s structured data and taxonomy framework is a perfect complement to finspector’s AI engine,” said Philip Clements, CEO of finspector. “Together we can create an end-to-end bridge between regulation, policy, and AI-enabled compliance execution – turning what used to be hundreds of pages of guidance into a single, explainable source of truth”

Statement from RegGenome

“finspector showcases the power of our data perfectly. It enables financial-promotions checks in seconds instead of days, with RegGenome providing the data to power their regulatory solution. Together, teams get consistent, explainable decisions with lineage back to the original rule.” – Mark Johnston, CEO.
